Project Period :  2025

Project Stage : In progress

Project Description:

The scope of our work involved the structural mapping of the load-bearing structural system of a two-story reinforced concrete building, as well as the execution of on-site and laboratory tests to determine the mechanical properties of the building’s structural materials. The building is used for light industrial purposes and offices. Core sampling and rebound hammer tests were conducted, in accordance with KANEPE (Greek Code for Structural Interventions), to assess the quality of the concrete and to estimate the depth of carbonation. The compressive strength of the cores will be determined through testing at a specialized laboratory. Cores and scanning were carried out to determine the quality of the steel (through visual inspection) as well as the reinforcement details of columns, beams, and slabs, in quantities specified by KANEPE. Exploratory openings were also conducted in areas where the configuration of the load-bearing structure was not visible, in order to clarify the structural system.
