The scope of the current project was the strengthening design study of a single-storey industrial building made of reinforced concrete, with a total area of around 985m². The structure was built in the period between 1966-1968 and it consist of two structural independent buildings (1&2), made of reinforced concrete frames, which are separated by a vertical joint. The two buildins are constructed on a common foundation system of individual spread footings. The structural design analysis was carried out using the Fespa 20 v.8.1.0.22 software package. The method of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) sheathing was applied to the columns of the building, whereas the installation of FRP plates was deemed as an appropriate strengthening solution for the beams of the structure.
