Project Description:
This project includes the works of the 2nd Phase for the upgrade/strengthening of the T6 Container Terminal Quaywall of the Port of Casablanca in Morocco intended to increase the operational depth at its berthing line from the present level -10.40m to depth -14.00m in order to accommodate larger ships. The works of the 2nd Phase, currently under design, include the 335m long southern part of the quaywall (from PM 335 up to PM 0), while the 1st Phase works, already completed, include the 340m long northern part (from PM 675 up to PM 335).
The foundation level of the existing quaywall is at -11.20m while its mean crest level is at +6.15m. The typical cross section of the strengthened quaywall includes the construction of a front RC pilewall of 28.5m height to ensure dredging of the sea bottom, the extension of the capping beam towards the basin and its connection with the existing one and the pilewall and finally, the anchoring of the quaywall with tie-backs to a bored pile dead man RC structure.
Our company’s services include the structural design of the RC elements both during the project’s construction stage and during the operational phase for the environmental and operational loads at Detailed design stage.
