Project Description:
The scope of this project is the structural design of a new Bio-Facility and industrial Research and Development (R&D) center of the pharmaceutical company DEMO S.A. The project is located at Kryoneri, Attica, at the 22nd kilometer of the National Highway. It consists of two underground and three above-ground floors with a total area of approximately 8000 m2.
The special structural requirements of this construction lies within both the architectural design which demands large openings and also in the large values of the imposed loads.
The structural design analysis of the building was carried out using the Fespa 20 v.8.1.0.22 and ETABS 19.1.0 software package and includes the configuration of the load-bearing system of the main building, the access ramps to the basement and the corresponding retaining walls. In addition to the preliminary, scheme and detailed design of the bio-facility, our scope of work also included the supervision of the structural part during construction.
