Project Description:
The scope of the current project was the evaluation of the structural bearing capacity of an existing tobacco warehouse, made of reinforced concrete, with a total area of approximately 16000 m2, which was built in 1965. The structure consists of three statically independent buildings, which, however, are based on a common foundation system of individual spread footings. Building A has 4 over-ground levels (Ground-Floor, Level A, B & C) and Buildings B and C have one under-ground and 6 over-ground levels (Underground floor, Ground-Floor, Level A, B, C & D). At the buildings B & C, top-floor of large area, common to the subjacent floor, was also constructed.
